Week two of testimony gets underway this morning at the Jefferson County courthouse in the
capital murder trial of 38-year old Joseph Colone Jr. The Beaumont man is charged with the
2010 shooting deaths of 41-year old Mary Hernandez Goodman and her 16-year old daughter
Brianna Goodman. They were shot and killed at their home on Hartel Street in Beaumont. If
convicted, Colone faces either life in prison or the death penalty. The case is being heard in
Judge Raquel West’s courtroom.
