The Beaumont city council has authorized the issuance of water revenue bonds in the amount of
$21 million for city wide water and sewer improvements. These bonds allows the city to borrow
money, which is then repaid with revenue the city receives from its water and sewer customers.
The funds will be used to complete a variety of projects, including replacing fire hydrants,
rehabilitating water and sewer lines, performing lift station repairs and making improvements to
the city’s water and sewer plants. Bond proceeds are scheduled for June 1st.
