The fate of a Beaumont man in now in the hands of a Jefferson County jury. The jury in the
capital murder trial of Joseph Colone Jr. will return to the courthouse this morning to resume
deliberations. Colone is charged with the 2010 shootings deaths of Mary Hernandez Goodman
and her 16-year old daughter Brianna at their Beaumont home on Hartel Street. If convicted,
Colone faces the death penalty of life in prison.
