A Beaumont man is jailed facing multiple charges after fleeing from police this morning.
Police attempted to stop a car at Harrison and Forrest when the driver sped off. The chase
ended when the driver of the car, 25-year old Jacoby Dejei Griffin, crashed into a building in
the 800 block of Gulf. With the assistance of K-9 Gus, Griffin was found hiding under a parked
vehicle in the 1000 block of Hazel. He has been charged with evading and possession of a
controlled substance. This K-9 Gus’ 7th successful apprehension this year.
