Granger Denied A New Trial

The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has denied a request from death row inmate

Batholomew Granger, who has asked for a new trial. Granger was convicted of capital

murder for a shooting that occurred outside the Jefferson County Courthouse in 2012.

Bartholomew was targeting his ex-wife, who was going to testify against him in an upcoming

trial. The shooting claimed the life of 79-year old Minnie Sebolt, who was a bystander outside

 the Jefferson County Courthouse
