Texas Governor Greg Abbott has yet to announce if he will call lawmakers back to Austin for
a special session. Southeast Texas State Representative James White is pushing for the special
session. White wants to address property tax relief, school finance reform, cuts in child therapy
rates, and rural county roads impacted by oil and gas production. White represents Hardin, Jasper,
Newton, Tyler, and Polk Counties.
