The head of the Beaumont Independent School District’s police department has resigned. Citing
personal reasons, Chief Rob Flores stepped down yesterday. Flores headed up the BISD police
department for two years. Prior to that, he was with the Beaumont Police Department for more
than 25 years. The school district has not commented on Flores’ resignation.
