A man is jailed facing possession charges. Beaumont police were patrolling the parking lot
of the Petro Truck Stop at I-10 and Walden Road just before 1:00 this morning a spotted a
car with its flashers on a man sleeping inside. Officers detected the smell of marijuana. A K-9unit was called in and a garbage bag with just over 26 pound of marijuana was found in the
car. The suspect was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
