A one vehicle wreck in Beaumont has claimed the life of a 27-year old man. Police report the
driver of a SUV was on the I-10 service road, near the Highway 69 interchange, around 7:00 last
night when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The victim, whose name has not been
released, was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The
second person in the vehicle was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
