BISD has announced that Dr. Jimmy Simmons, Lenny Caballero, and Jack Carroll will step
down from the school district’s board of managers effective the end of the month. Three years
ago the board of managers was put in place by then Commissioner of Education Michael
Williams after the state removed the existing school board at that time. Joe Domino, A.B.
Bernard, Vernice Monroe, and Robert Turner will remain on the board.
