Beaumont police are investigating a drowning. Police and EMS were called to the 8400 block
of Oak Brook in the west end around 6:30 last night and found a 40-year old woman who had
drowned in a backyard swimming pool. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has
not been released.
