A Jasper man was airlifted to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont following a wreck
involving his pickup and a log truck on FM 1131, near Fanning Road near Evadale yesterday
morning. 39-year old Kenneth Walker was traveling south on FM 1131 when he had a blowout
and crossed the center stripe and struck the side of the log truck. The driver of the log truck, 46-
year old Earl Bertrand of Hillister, was not hurt.
