Closing arguments will take place this morning in the punishment phase of the Travis Collins
trial in Orange County. Collins pleaded guilty to the May 2015 deaths of 54-year old Riley
Portie and his 50-year old wife Emily. They died after their motorcycle was struck by a
pickup being driven by Collins. Collins, who took the witness stand yesterday, faces two to
20 years in prison for each count of intoxication manslaughter.
