An Orange County jury has sentenced a man to 15 years in prison for a wreck that killed a
husband and wife. 30-year old Travis Collins pleaded guilty to two counts of intoxication
manslaughter for the May 2015 deaths of 54-year old Riley Portie and 50-year old Emily Portie.
They died when the motorcycle they were on was struck by a pickup driven by Collins in May
of 2015. Collins, who was also fined $10,00, must serve at least 7 years of the sentence before
he becomes eligible for parole.
