ATM thieves hit two businesses Wednesday morning. The Food Stop at the 1320 11th street was hit shortly after 4:30. Three black males and a white male drove a stolen blue Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Ford F350 though the front of the store. They attempted to get the ATM machine but were not able to get the machine out of the store. A short time later two black males in a stolen gold two-tone 2006 Ford F-350 smashed through the front of the gas station at the Petro Truck Stop at the corner of Walden and Interstate 10. The crooks attempted unsuccessfully to steal the ATM. There were two other black males that appeared to be involved and they left in a white car, possibly a ford Taurus or Chevy.
