A Groves man was killed early this morning in a two vehicle wreck on Interstate 10 in Jefferson
County, just east of Winnie. 29-year old James Corey Dorris was traveling westbound when his
pickup left the road and struck a crash cushion on the right side of the road causing the pickup
to rollover onto the interstate where it was struck by an oncoming car. Dorris was transported
to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital where he died. The driver of the second vehicle, 27-year old
Melissa Worley of Baytown, and her 6-year old daughter were transported to the hospital. Their
injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
