Beaumont citizens could be seeing a tax rate increase in the upcoming fiscal year budget.
Mayor Becky Ames told KLVI news that the tax rate could increase from 69 cents per $100
dollar valuation to 71 cents. Mayor Ames says the increase is needed for street repairs and
to cover contract increases for police and fire. The new fiscal year begins on October 1st.
