Former Constable Placed On Probation

KLVI News

A former Jefferson County chief deputy has been placed on one year probation and fined $500

for official oppression. Ken Yowman pleaded guilty to using a stun gun on a Port Arthur man

this past May for no apparent reason. If Yowman doesn’t violate the terms of his probation

within one year, the conviction will not be on his record. He was sentenced yesterday by

District Judge Larry Gist.
