A Beaumont woman died yesterday afternoon after she was swept away by flood waters near
I-10. She was carrying her young daughter after she drove into high water and left her disabled
vehicle. The woman her child were found in the water about a mile from her vehicle. The child
was transported to the hospital suffering from hyperthermia.
Two people died in Jasper County last night after a tree fell onto the pickup . It happened on
Highway 190 near FM 777 near Jasper.
