+The Southeast Texas Food Bank will be distributing water today from Noon -3:00 at food bank, located at 3845 S. MLK in Beaumont. Those picking up water are asked to stay in their vehicles. No walkup.

+I-10 westbound is now open in Orange County from the state line to FM 105 in Vidor. I-10 remains closed between Beaumont and Vidor in both directions.

+A boil water notice remains in effect for residents in several communities across southeast Texas. This includes Beaumont and parts of Orange and Hardin counties. Residents are asked to boil water before cooking or consumption.

+In Bridge City, very limited supplies will be available beginning today from 7:00 to 10:00 this  morning and again from 3:00 to 7:00 this evening at the school bus barn, located at 1025 West Roundbunch Road. Please us the entrance at the light by the Methodist Church as the bus barn gate is being used to exit traffic.

+Several school districts, including BISD will not have classes until Monday, September 11th. Other districts will make decisions tomorrow on when to return to class. Check your school district’s webpage for updates.

+Lamar-Beaumont will begin classes tomorrow using a hybrid face to face and online models. A number of classes will meet on campuses as they usually do, but will provide concurrent instruction via the university’s blackboard online learning system to a number of students. This will enable students without transporation or who have been displaced, to continue their course work.

+Orange County remains  under a countywide curfew from 8:00 pm until 6:00 am until further notice. County and city officials are working to keep communities safe. Point of Distribution supplies have been set up in areas accessible in the county. They are drive thru POD for water, ice, and MRE’s. Military units are set up at the locations and will load supplies into your vehicle. Stay tuned for those locations.

+A shower trailer will be available today at Paradise Baptist Church, 4390 Fannett Road in Beaumont. The trailer will be available beginning at 2:00 this afternoon for women and children impacted by Harvey and needing a hot shower.
