+ A 68-year old man has been found dead in Newton County. The Newton County Sheriff’s Office reports Richard Sneed left his home in Deweyville Sunday morning on a 4-wheeler to check on his neighbor. He was found dead Sunday morning. 

+The Salvation Army mobile feeding kitchens are set up. Beginning at 1:00 this afternoon, boxed lunches and cases of water will be provided at the following locations. Golden Triangle Harvey Distribution Center 1490 North 7th in Beaumont, Breath of Life Ministries 3700 Proctor Street in Port Arthur, and at the Salvation Army 1950 MLK in Orange.

+The Southeast Texas Food Bank continues to reach out to southeast Texans in need. From Noon to 3:00 today, four cases of bottled water and a mixture of food commodities will be provided per car at the food bank, located at 3845 S MLK in Beaumont. Those coming must remain in their vehicles and the resources will be brought to you.

+Texas Governor Greg Abbott will be in Beaumont this afternoon to give an update to the Harvey recovery in southeast Texas and will receive an on-site briefing.

+The Neches River Bridge has reopened in both directions on I-10 between Beaumont and Orange County. Highway 69/96 has been reopened between Beaumont and Lumberton. There is still water on the roadway at both of these locations. Motorists are asked to slow down while driving on southeast Texas roadways.

+The U.S. Department of Veterans Affair has opened mobile medical centers from Houston to the Golden Triangle area. One of mobile centers is set up at Silsbee High School from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily until September 30th. Times and locations may adjust.

+Baptist Hospital will be open beginning today with business as usual.

+In Bridge City, Mayor David Rutledge has announced no reconstruction permits will be issued until building assessments are completed as required by FEMA. Also in Bridge City, emergency responders are going through the community to check on residents. They will be recognizable by their attire. The mayor asks residents to thank them for all they are doing.
