The mobile substations Entergy Texas has brought in to power your neighborhoods and businesses are undergoing installation. The Mayhaw Substation in Vidor is one such location. Workers on Wednesday, Sept. 6, will complete installation of the mobile substation, adding a transformer and related equipment. This will bring power to the area as much as five days earlier than expected. In order to complete the installation, a planned power outage will begin at 10 a.m. and last for about six hours. The outage will affect 2,000 customers in the areas of FM 1132, the north side of IH-10 from Jennings to Doty Road, the south side of IH-10 in the area of Easy Lane, Highway 12 from FM 1132 to Cow Bayou, Linscomb Road, Evangeline Lane, Railroad Avenue and Lost Lake.
