A Jasper police officer has been indicted by a grand jury in Sabine County for sexual assault of
a child. Lacie Jackson, who is on administrative leave, was indicted last week. The alleged
incident occurred in January of 2016. Jasper Chief of Police Gerald Hall is recommending that
Jackson be terminated, which needs approval from the Jasper city council. The sexual assault
is being investigated by the Texas Rangers.
