Fire investigators are trying to determine that cause of a fire north of Silsbee yesterday
morning that claimed the lives of a mother and her five children. They have been identified
as 31-year old Ashley Pickering, 11-year old Cristian Mattox, 7-year old Serenity Mattox,
4-year old twins Cavance and Cash Mattox, and 3-year old Camden. The fire occurred at
their home in the 8700 block of Fountain Drive.
