The Beaumont city council has approved spending nearly $2 million for a wastewater study.
The city will hire Lockwood, Andrews, and Newman for the study. This is the same company
the state of Michigan is suing for alleged wrongdoings with the Flint, Michigan water
issues. The vote was 6-1. Opposition has concerns on how LAN was selected since there
wasn’t a formal bidding process.
