Two men have indicted for aggravated robbery. 28-year old Shavonksie Ardoin and 28-
year old Douglas Martin are accused of robbing the A-Z Smoke Shop in the 8300 block
of College on May 31st. They are accused of using duct tape to tie the owner a chair at
gunpoint. Both suspects were arrested following another robbery in which they were
involved in a pursuit with Beaumont police on June 14th. Following that arrest, Ardoin’s
mother identified her son as one of the robbers of the smoke shop and told detectives Martin
hung out with her son.
