Following a narcotics complaint, detectives from the Jefferson County Narcotics Division
went to the 4300 block of Houston Street in Beaumont yesterday. Detectives stopped a
vehicle in the area for a traffic violation. Inside the vehicle detectives found a semi-auto
handgun and a baggie containing seven white rocks of crack cocaine. 38-year old Willie
Paul Rideaux was arrested and charged with felon in possession of a firearm and possession
of a controlled substance.
