Houston Man Sentenced For Drug Trafficking

A Houston man appeared in a Beaumont federal courtroom yesterday and was sentenced to

more than 10 years for drug trafficking. 27-year old Cody Edward Drawhorn was arrested

in December of 2015 following a traffic stop in Beaumont. Following a search of his vehicle,

officers found 6.5 ounces of methamphetamine packaged in 20 individual packaged baggies.

Drawhorn, who pleaded guilty to the charges this past March, has been sentenced to 135 months

in federal prison.
