Beaumont firefighters worked a house fire last night in the 4000 block of Avenue A. Firefighters
arrived on the scene shortly before 9:00 and remained there for nearly 2 ½ hours. Nobody was
home when the fire broke out. There were no injuries reported and the cause has not been
determined. The fire was called in by a motorist driving by the home.
