A search warrant issued at a Newton County store lead to the arrest of two on gambling related
charges. Law enforcement entered Dee’s One Stop in the Trout Creek community yesterday
and seized $22,000 cash and 17 gambling machines. According to Sheriff Billy Rowles, the
two arrested have been charged with keeping a gambling place and promotion of grambling.
They both were transported to the Newton County Jail.
