A 45-year old Houston man is on his way to federal prison for more than 27 years. In
March of 2016, acting on a tip of a large amount of methamphetamine to arrive in the
Beaumont area, Jefferson County deputies stopped a vehicle driving erratically on I-10.
Following a pursuit, Christopher Wade Ferrell was taken into custody. Marijuana, assorted
pills, methamphetamine, and over $10,000 cash were inside his car. Ferrell pleaded guilty
this past May and was sentenced to 327 months yesterday.
