After watching YouTube videos about the Grinch, 5-year-old TyLon Pittman called 911 on Dec. 16 to warn authorities about his penchant for stealing Christmas, NPR reports.
According to the Jackson Clarion Ledger, a dispatcher in Byram, Mississippi, posted about the call on Facebook, and officer Lauren Develle took an interest. "Every Christmas morning, my dad wears these Grinch pants," Develle says. "It's his favorite movie. Growing up seeing the Grinch every Christmas was my favorite thing." Develle drove over to TyLon's house to reassure him. “She said she thought it was the cutest thing,” Tylon's brother, TeDera Graves, tells the Washington Post. “She wanted to pay him a visit to let him know his Christmas will be safe.”
