A 42-year old Beaumont man is jailed. Police were called to an apartment in the 3000 block
of French Road just before 5:30 this morning in reference to an attempted burglary. The suspect,
Floyd Toran, was located at a nearby store. He was in possession of a stolen firearm. Toran has
been charged with burglary of habitation, felon in possession of a firearm, and theft of a
firearm.
