A north Texas man is jailed after he stole a DPS patrol car. 28-year old Eric Parker, of
Denton, was stopped by a trooper yesterday morning in Orange County for allegedly
driving while intoxicated. Parker was able to maneuver his handcuffs from behind his
back and drive off. He fled into Louisiana where he crashed the car into a guardrail in
Lake Charles. Parker is facing multiple charges.
