Jury selection begins this morning in a Hardin County capital murder trial. Jason Delacerda
is charged with the August 2011 death of 4-year old Breonna Loftin, who died from several
broken bones. Jury selection will take up to three weeks. Testimony is expected to begin in
February. The state is seeking the death penalty. Breonna’s mother, 36 year old Amanda Nichole
Guidry is also charged with her death. Her trial is set for later this spring.
