Beaumont police have released the name of a man that was struck and killed by a pickup
yesterday afternoon. At this time, it is unclear whether 40-year old Dayton Greer, of Vidor,
was walking next to the south inside lane of Cardinal Drive, near MLK, or if he was crossing
the roadway when he was hit. Greer was transported to the hospital where he died. The
investigation continues.
