The DPS reports one person was killed and another injured following a one-vehicle wreck
on I-10 in Vidor. A car was traveling westbound when the driver, a 37-year old Nederland
man, lost control and struck a guardrail causing the car to go airborne. The car continued
down the interstate and struck a second guard rail. The driver was pronounced dead at the
scene. The passenger, a 42-year old Beaumont woman, was transported to a Beaumont
hospital in serious condition. I-10 westbound near the 860 mile marker is down to one
lane.
