The fate of a man that pleaded guilty for his involvement in last year’s kidnapping of Bridge
City attorney Jim Sharon Bearden is now in the hands of an Orange County jury. 20-year old
German Borjas-Benitez is one of three men that forced Bearden from his Bridge City home
at gunpoint, drove him to a Port Arthur ATM and had him remove money. Borjas-Beneitz
faces up to 99 years. The jury will resume deliberations at 9:00 this morning.
