Jefferson County deputies received information that inmates from the federal complex were

escaping from the back side of the prison, crossing onto private land,  picking up contraband,

and taking it back into the prison. Earlier this week, a vehicle entered onto the private property

and dropped off a large duffle bag. About two hours later an inmate ran from the prison and

was arrested heading back to the prison with the duffle bag that contained brandy, whiskey,

tobacco, snacks, fruit, and a large amount of home cooked meals. The inmate, 25-year old

Joshua Hansen, of Dallas, was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on an escape charge and

possession of marijuana.
