Meghan Trainor has an engagement story that will likely remain a topic of conversation at all of her forthcoming family affairs, and it involves — wait for it — vomit.
On Wednesday (January 31), The Four judge spoke about what happened the day after fiancé Daryl Sabara proposed to her back in December on her 24th birthday. "It's kind of gross," she warned. "We're eating so much healthier nowadays, but we were at the hotel and we're eating the hotel food and the day that we drove home [from Palm Springs] I got food poisoning on the car ride. So, he's driving and I’m just in his face like 'urghl' [throwing up], and I told him, 'I'm so sorry,' and he's like, 'I'd kiss you right now.'"
You know it's true love between Trainor and the Spy Kids actor when they pulled the car over and decided to make things even more official. "We pulled over. We had like a moment. He went for the nasty!" the pop star added.
Trainor and Sabara became engaged during the couple's trip to Living Desert Zoo & Gardens in Palm Springs, California. "For my 24th birthday, the love of my life @darylsabara made all of my dreams come true. He proposed to me under a tunnel of beautiful Christmas lights and surprised me with my family and friends. I’m still in shock. I’ve never been this happy! Thank you Daryl, my family and friends for making me feel like a real princess," she captioned a video of the moment. "Thank you @ryan.trainor for this amazing video that I’m gonna watch over and over again."
