The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office reports a lightning strike killed a Hardin County man
and injured his father yesterday afternoon. 22-year old Sebastian Ramos was working on a fence
in Honey Island when he was struck by the lightning. Ramos was transported to the hospital
where he was pronounced dead. His 57-year old father, Raul Ramos, was transported to the
hospital with 2nd degree burns.
