The Hardin County Sheriffâs Office is investigating the discovery of a body. The body of a
man was found in an oilfield by workers in an oilfield west of Sour Lake yesterday. At this
time it is believed the body is that of James Alvin Hornes, who was reported missing from
Sour Lake this past January. The body was sent to the Jefferson County Morgue for an autopsy
to determine the cause of death and for a positive identity.
