New York Man Pleads Guilty In Beaumont Federal Court

A Buffalo, New York man faces at least 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to

drug trafficking in the eastern district of Texas. 41-year old Roosevelt Appleton was arrested

in June of 2016 after a traffic stop in Jefferson County revealed six bundles of cocaine hidden

in a secret compartment in the vehicle. He admitted to being responsible for the distribution of

between 15 and 50 kilos of cocaine as part of a conspiracy with others to traffic drugs the
