The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man that drove a stolen vehicle into
water in the area of FM 365 and Hillebrandt Road on Wednesday, then led authorities on
a manhunt. 39-year old Christian David Rockwell, of Nederland, remains jailed on a $25,000
bond for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and several other traffic charges. Other charges
are pending as it is believed the vehicle he was in was used in a robbery in Bridge City on
Wednesday morning.
