Jefferson County commissioners would like state legislatures to allow all 254 counties in the
state regulate game rooms. Currently, only Harris County and adjoining counties are allowed
to regulate. County Judge Jeff Branick says they have seen several crimes committed
around the games rooms in the county. Several game room operators have moved out of the
Harris County area and into our area since they are regulated.
