Five Taken Into Custody On A Variety Of Charges

Four adults and a juvenile were taken into custody last week in Jefferson County. The

sheriff’s office were called to residence being burglarized in the 9000 block of Tram

Road. Deputies stopped the suspect’s vehicle. Inside the pickup, they found a stolen

chainsaw and weed eater. Two loaded handgun were also found in the pickup. 30-year

old Jefferson Cantrell of Beaumont, who is a registered sex offender, was charged with

burglary of a building and possession of a firearm by a felon. 38-year old Lamond Hines

of Beaumont, who was wearing body armor, is charged with possession of a firearm by

a felon and unlawfully possessing body armor. 20-year old Tyler Lyles, of Beaumont, is

charged with burglary of a building. 17-year old Delton Marpoe, of Beaumont, is charged

with burglary of a building. The juvenile, who was released to a parent, will face burglary

charges in juvenile court.
