The DPS reports a weekend motorcycle accident in Hardin County has claimed the life of a
Louisiana woman. 30-year old Bobbie Leigh Jackson, of DeRidder, was traveling south on
Highway 96, three miles south of Silsbee when she lost control of her Harley Davidson and
crashed. Jackson was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where she
later died. A passenger on the motorcycle, a 52-year old woman from Louisiana, sustained
serious injuries. Neither occupant of the motorcycle were wearing helmets.
