The DPS has released the name of a woman that was killed in a Tyler County wreck last
night. 73-year old Betty Jo Slaydon, of Kirbyville, died in the wreck on Highway 190,
four miles east of Woodville near Dam B. Slaydon was a passenger in a vehicle that
was struck by a vehicle that spun into their lane striking them. Speed and a wet highway
were contributing factors.
