Police in Orange report a man that attempted to rob a convenience store this morning was
shot and killed by the store’s clerk. A man entered the Crawdad’s in the 4000 block of I-10
just past 2:00 this morning, pulled a gun demanding money. An altercation ensued between
the robber and clerk. The clerk shot the suspect. The suspect fled the store and was found
dead a short distance away, near the intersection of MLK Drive and Bancroft Road.
