Police In Orange Release Name Of Robber Shot And Killed By Store Clerk.

Police in Orange have released the name of a man that was shot and killed during an attempted

robbery at a convenience store. 55-year old William Broughton used what turned out to be a toy

guy to rob the Crawdad’s store in the 4000 block of I-10 Monday morning. The clerk, who

feared for his life, used his personal gun to shoot Broughton. After being shot, Broughton ran

from the store and collapsed near the intersection of MLK and Bancroft Road, where he died.
